About the Program
The UN Youth Delegates Program is a collaborative effort focusing on supporting, guiding, and deploying a new cadre of UN Youth Delegates across multiple African nations, including Sudan, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, and South Sudan. As part of this initiative, we also aspire to establish UN Associations in all participating countries. This unique program offers selected candidates the opportunity to become UN Youth Fellows, allowing them to actively engage with the work of the United Nations on the ground.
Benefits of Participation
If you are among the 20 candidates chosen, you will secure the coveted position of a Youth Fellow, gaining access to UN internships and outreach programs. Additionally, you will be invited to a National Assessment Workshop in Nairobi, alongside 20 fellow UN Youth Fellows from across the country. This workshop is designed to familiarize you with your responsibilities, opportunities, and equip you to address crucial youth-related issues at both national and international levels.

National Assessment Workshop
At the National Assessment Workshop, two outstanding Fellows will be selected to represent Kenya as UN Youth Delegates. These selected delegates will have the honor of advocating for youth interests at the United Nations headquarters in New York and regionally in East Africa. Furthermore, the chosen delegates will be invited to attend three regional workshops.
Commitment and Eligibility
Both Fellows and Delegates are expected to attend and travel to various events and workshops throughout the year. Therefore, applicants are urged to confirm their availability for the specified dates before applying. In the spirit of fostering diversity, we strongly encourage applications from women, individuals with disabilities, and minority youths, ensuring a comprehensive representation of the country’s youth.
